Implementation Lead


The Implementation Lead drives the management Veraction client implementation or deployment engagements related to Veraction’s Total TSM and Transportation Spend Intelligence solutions. Typically, these critical engagements will involve managing multiple client relationships. The Implementation Lead is responsible for informing customers about the deployment process; setting expectations; identifying and planning project scope; monitoring progress against established project timelines; providing visibility to customer and Veraction delivery teams regarding project progress; and evaluating project outcomes. The Implementation Lead also engages frequently with the Veraction sales team during the late stages of a sales cycle as a subject matter expert for implementation and ensure a successful project with the client. 

The Implementation Lead is a critical role at Veraction and is responsible for driving new client implementation or existing client expansion based deployment projects. This role interacts with a broad set of stakeholders at Veraction including sales, pre-sales, implementation resources and delivery teams as well as being the single point of accountability for a project to the client. Implementation Lead responsibilities during an implementation or deployment project include:

Pre Project Support & Initiation

  • Works with Veraction Sales to drive advance project preparation and expectation setting with the client in order to ensure a successful deployment of Veraction solutions
  • Works with client stakeholders to identify requirements and define project scope and approach
  • Translates client requirements into functional requirement documents, use cases and specifications

Deployment Planning

  • Responsible for planning and estimating tasks and timelines – owns the project plan
  • Works with Veraction resources to staff the team for the project appropriately

Project Execution

  • Directs project activities and interacts with team members and clients to ensure project objectives are met
  • Participates in technical design, build, and validation of the solution, including client review and approval
  • Delivers the project(s) and ensures meeting deliverables, quality, timelines and budget objectives
  • Ensures project control using best project management practices and manages client expectations
  • Provides weekly status updates and communicates project progress to internal and client teams regularly
  • Delegates tasks and deliverables to Veraction resources and ensures completion according to project plan
  • Monitors project progress and proactively manages potential timeline/deliverable issues
  • Evaluates and contributes to the continuous improvement of Veraction’s tools and processes

Post Deployment Support

  • Works with Veraction delivery teams to ensure the seamless transition of implemented client programs to production state

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • Excellent client management skills – strong customer orientation
  • Experience with Financial / Operational business systems analysis
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office / Project / Access / Power Point
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Critical thinking skills with a methodical approach to problem solving and strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter – immense initiative, tenacious and capable of working independently to achieve goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, including presentation and speaking skills
